Hello everyone!
I just wanted to make sure that the parents that have deaf or hoh children should report it to their local social security office to see if they might qualify for benefits.
My parents failed to do this in the 70s and the social security rep who interviewed my mother after my father's death did not ask if she had any disabled children under the age 22 in which I would have been entitled to survivors benefits.
Do not make the same mistake!
