Palm Pre

I want to get a palm pre. I need something that will help me keep in track of everything... a little organizer.

if you have gmail account, it match your heaven with Palm Pre

I feel little weird keeping my organizers on web-based account. I rather if it right on my desktop, if you know what I mean.

the TOP two architect peoples who left webOS team after HP bought PALM. One currently works for Google Android and Other works for APPLE iOS. It makes me wondering HP will save Palm Pre and bring it back in the game?

Ouch, why does they left?
My guess that they were upset after HP CEO gave the world, his nasty words- ** We didn't interest Palm to be in the smartphone business **. thats why they left?

You can find more infom from pre central:

HP CEO: 'We didn't buy Palm to be in the smartphone business'.

Matías Duarte leaving Palm for Google.

Father of webOS notifications leaves for Apple.

Hope those have answer your Q. :P

It won't work. People are tired of carrying their organizer and phone at the same time.

Franklin Convey should have brought them out instead.

I do NOT want to pay dataplan just to have palm pilot phone. So if that's what HP mean by it, then I agree! Right now, the only way I can have a palm is if I pay dataplan from my cellphone company.

Sheesh sorry to hear that... I like Droid but I got Samsung Moment because of $150 offer from Sprint because I had BB Curve 8830 for two years. Since that Samsung is $99 after rebate. I thought why not! So I bought the phone. I really like Android OS. I've read the fine print on contract that if I don't like phone and return it, they will charge me $35 restocking fee like you mentioned.

My only complaint about Samsung is the battery drainage. Putting Sammy to sleep and also configure one of Email account (K-9 Email program) to check Email every 5 or 10 min while other Email program set to check every hour does help slow down battery drain. I have to make sure that none of other running apps except Email are turned off. I do have Weather Widget on phone, I love it and it's a running app too and it check once every 3 hours.

I am fully aware that Touchphones like iPod, Samsung Moment, Droid, and other "large screen" phones are battery drainer.

I just bought pair of micro USB car charger so I can have one for my truck and one for my work van to keep it charged at all time LOL. I bought it from Ebay for $4.66 each with free Sh/H. Cheap than buying from Sprint which cost $35!!! for same thing.

MY wife is checking out Palm Pre. I will let her know about the screen issue. She will check out at Sprint Store.j

Out of curiously, how's the battery drainage on Palm Pre??

Catty

I hate to tell you. Recharger to battery too much that will ruin battery life due cycle life. I know old boss always use charger on his Windows mobile a lot like plug it all day at office and car. Battery become junk and it was only 6 months old. Can you image?!!

No wonder Apple won't add Adobe flash on iOS and not worry about battery issue. HTML5 rules!

Did you know that iOS4's multitasking won't cause battery drain down?
Apple - iPhone 4 - Multitasking done the right way

Yup, does apply to MacBook/MacBook Pro with battery built-in if stay on charger at all time?

Well... it doesn't really matter because they use lithium battery. It'll degrade with time, no matter what you do.

You can keep it plugged in if you want to, but it would be wise to at least use up the battery a few times per week and there's also the monthly recalibration one should do.

No, They use lithium-ion polymer battery. The lithium battery is outdated. There is three types: lithium, lithium-ion, and lithium-ion polymer. Did you know that?

I set my own new record on my Palm Pre.

It running last on without data usuage, just rare use for email, web, no video and maps to look up.

Made it 54 hours. :D

none, I didn't use special battery, just same battery as I had since. How do I do? I turn data-usage off which just eat out of battery. That mean, I use for text-msg at the most of time.
