I got Palm Pre Plus today for free from Verizon because of New Every Two discount.

I like Palm Pre Plus but there is only one issue about small yellow screen aka discoloration on left bottom of screen so how could you fix it? I'm sure that PowerON knows it.

Which apps that you recommended to install in Palm Pre?

Never hear of it. However, I look up on google that it seem someone have common problem as your. I guess it must be bad LCD or heat.

So far, I like app on my Palm Pre:
• AccuWeather (much friendly and quick info than Weather Channel)
• Engadget (much easy to read news)
• Free Klondike Solitaire
• Tetris (so worth)

Grats!

I did play it at verzionwireless shop before bought 4G EVO, ooops I meant HD2. Because they look alike.. LOL! anyway I asked VZW retailer about data plan.. he was like *blah, blah*, finally says **data package cost you $55 and 70 months**, w/e. I was like OUCH and walked out of VZW store, seriously.

I really admire pre plus, because its capable of 20 or 40 multitaskings and nice feature then original pre from sprint.. its very impressive me.. webOS is soo beautiful platform... its cousin of android.. ;)

Yup but Palm need improves with build quality and Web OS is just perfectly fine.

I realized that my new Palm Pre is defective because screen discoloration and tiny dusts or dead pixel under screen so I'm disappointed then decided to returned at Verizon and re-activate the my Droid. I had paid $35 restocking fee, that's fucking rip off and got no choice but I can stay with Droid.

The unlimited data/text for all Verizon smartphone/PDA is $55 per month, additional $9 extra for insurance.

Palm, please improves the quality of phone, however OS is fine.

Dude, Sorry to hear that happened to you.. I'm not surprise that the original Pre and Pre Plus hardware have some severely issues. Most people returned it to VzW stores and get another smartphone instead of exchange the same Pre.

we wait and see next year Pre can keep up with Iphone and android, if HP did fix Pre hardwares since HP acquired PALM.. right?

Glad to see you went back to Droid. ;)

I'm not put risk on my pre to mess with WebOS.

Otherwise, I able to get without "broke jail" called MyTether which I able to use my pre turn wi-fi to share to my MacBook or iPod Touch. Cost only $15 which is sweet.

Sheesh sorry to hear that... I like Droid but I got Samsung Moment because of $150 offer from Sprint because I had BB Curve 8830 for two years. Since that Samsung is $99 after rebate. I thought why not! So I bought the phone. I really like Android OS. I've read the fine print on contract that if I don't like phone and return it, they will charge me $35 restocking fee like you mentioned.

My only complaint about Samsung is the battery drainage. Putting Sammy to sleep and also configure one of Email account (K-9 Email program) to check Email every 5 or 10 min while other Email program set to check every hour does help slow down battery drain. I have to make sure that none of other running apps except Email are turned off. I do have Weather Widget on phone, I love it and it's a running app too and it check once every 3 hours.

I am fully aware that Touchphones like iPod, Samsung Moment, Droid, and other "large screen" phones are battery drainer.

I just bought pair of micro USB car charger so I can have one for my truck and one for my work van to keep it charged at all time LOL. I bought it from Ebay for $4.66 each with free Sh/H. Cheap than buying from Sprint which cost $35!!! for same thing.

MY wife is checking out Palm Pre. I will let her know about the screen issue. She will check out at Sprint Store.j

Out of curiously, how's the battery drainage on Palm Pre??

So, you pay $55 per month on Verzion for unlimited data/SMS? Ouch. I pay only $30 on Sprint.

Battery, during my experience, went much as 14 hours for being medium using. Play 3D app, more juice draining quick

Battery usage is the biggest issues for all touch type phone. My company brought me battery pack for my iPhone that will double the longitivity of my usage. It's very nice, just only little heavier and thicker but it's worth while for me to use it because I use iPhone a lot, mostly IM and e-mail to communicate 500+ employee. Here's the link, it's called Juice Pack:

mophie - iPhone Battery, iPod Cases, iPhone accessories and more!

Verizon has more 3G coverage than Sprint does.

So.. are you travel out of Chicago's awesome coverage at the most of time?

No, my last residence in Chicago was in 2008.

I live in exurb, typical small suburb and not many small area in southeast states get good signal under Sprint, however I will move to DC in next Jan.

My contract will expire in August and think about switch to Sprint so wait and see.

Price/coverage= Normal.

We used had Verizon before and 3G coverage was great and better than Sprint.

ATT is big rip off for price/coverage and extra plan for tethering. Verizon/Sprint don't.

I want to get a palm pre. I need something that will help me keep in track of everything... a little organizer.
