A recent poll says that women over 35 should just say no when it comes to miniskirts. Over 2000 women were surveyed in the UK and among some of the other findings? Women over 47 should pass on bikinis and if you’re over 51, opt for flats over high heels. They might want to run that past Demi Moore (age 48) or Helen Mirren (age 65) who both have been pictured (beautifully) in bikinis.

The Daily Mail reports that the study was commissioned by UK weight loss company Diet Chef and found that 44% of women polled regularly worry that their fashion choices are age inappropriate. A spokesperson for the company said “'It's up to individuals to choose when they should stop wearing certain items. Some women may be comfortable in a bikini at the age of 65, whereas the more self-conscious may want to stop much earlier – it’s very much personal choice.”

No, much younger. Leggings should have been buried after the 1980's never to return.
 
Well, I'm still breaking most all of them....especially my hair in a pony tail!...(I've been "described" as the ol' lady with blonde hair in a pony tail).....too darn hot and I don't like hair spray or perms or tooo short hair! (or even "blue" hair!)......And wear shorts almost daily along with culottes, as for shoes, it's almost always flip-floppers or sneakers...never could walk in those 6-inch high-heels!...Sounded like a Horse clopping along...

Maybe I'll be bured in my bikini...matter of fact, one of my neighbors is 69 years old and looks fabulous in her bikini!....I'm not kidding here!...She lays out in the sun by the river...Think she used to be an ex-model or something....Even her husband is in good shape at 64...

No tatts or belly piercing for me!...But.....hmmmm...when I grow up a little more....maybe I'll get a tatt....
 
pfftt who made the decision for us women. sneakers at 44 is the biggest joke! lots of older ladies prefer sneakers to support their back or feet over the regular shoes.

Knee-high boot - never had 'em.
Ponytails - I am 47 and like RR - Florida is a ponytail required state most times.
Uggs - Not sure what they are, so no problem.
Sneakers - too bad, so sad, keepin 'em.
Leggings - never had them, no problem
Navel piercing - ouch!! not gonna ever get one.
Bikini - Last one I had, I was 10 I think. no problem.
Swimsuit - Well - this is Florida, too bad, so sad, gonna keep it.
Long hair - trying to grow mine back out. Yes, it's hot here, but I hate the short hair getting into my face, so the ponytail will keep it out of my way until I die.

Good for you, Kristina....to hell with those "fashion know-it-alls"....Never been a member of the "Garden Club" or any club where I have to dress "just so-and-so, and "up to their standards"....Being comfortable, especially in Florida and with the heat we have, is foremost on my mind.

Those "old biddies" who do follow the standard, more than likely even undress in the closet!

According to this, I should give up my bikini and knee-high boots this year. Not interested in a bikini, but I'm keeping my boots.

Ponytails: 51 I love putting my curly hair up in wild ponytails with colorful headbands
Uggs: 45 Cant afford them now but maybe when I am 45 years old!
Sneakers: 44 Never giving them up...what else can I wear when working out?
Leggings: 45 I love them
Navel Piercing: 35 If I do ever get a rock hard stomach again, I may just go for it
Bikini: 47 Yep...bikini days are over
Swimsuit (generally): 61 I love swimming and I will swim until I die
Long Hair: 53
It depends on how good my curls are at that age..wait and see
 
I only was ever interested in the sneakers. I would never give up my Converse collection.
