I found out a little while ago, that friends of our's in another part of South Carolina escaped an armed carjacking yesterday! 
My friend, her two young children, and her parents were in the family vehicle when a guy with a shotgun approached them. He wanted their vehicle. Her dad, who has a concealed carry permit, took his gun out and pointed it at the bad guy. He turned and ran.
They called the police and seven cars showed up. They did find and arrest the guy.
Scary! I don't know why the guy picked a vehicle with a load of people in it. He definitely picked the wrong target!
TCS spoke on the phone with her, so he might have more details that I overlooked.
