Are you an organ donor (that is, when sign up to be one, people can have your organs that you requested to donate after you die to improve their life)? If not, are you planning to become one? Do you have any questions about being one? Do you have any stories to share who you know are organ donors and about what happened to the ones who received it?

Here's a link about organ donors, and how to become one: http://www.shareyourlife.org

Aww, why not? Ever heard of organ regeneration?

OKay, all sillyness aside, it IS possible for liver to be donated by a live donor. This is especially true in children where they usually ask a parent to donate to their child. After tissue typing is done, they remove a segment of the liver, and transplant it to the child. After a number of months, the doner's liver regenerates and functions as if it's a whole organ!

Pretty cool, huh? :)

I am planning to become an organ donor and donate specific organs for transplant. Some of my major organs would not be suitable for donation due to my disability, but I'm sure some of the organs wouldn't be affected, so I'm considering that.
