Options for Remote Microphone Direct to Oticon Hearing Aids

My HOH wife has Oticon hearing aids. I want a microphone that will allow me to send my voice directly to her hearing aids.

I tried Oticon ConnectClip, but that failed (here's why). So, I'm looking at two different options:

  1. Edumic. This is a dedicated remote mic, so it shouldn't have the problems that ConnectClip did.
  2. Oticon ON on an Apple device. It has a remote mic function. We only have Android devices (no remote mic function), but I could buy an old iPhone or iPod Touch and use that as a remote mic.
Has anyone else tried one of these options? When the ConnectClip was working, it helped a lot.
