OMG...OMG...OMG...

Person called my father - :blah: :blah: :blah: about me...My father interrupted this person, told this person NOT to ever call his home again OR he will call the police if this person calls again!

Other Person called my mother yesterday :blah: :blah: :blah: about me...It upsets my mom since she is having problems with her heart. I don't know what my mom said back to this person but it sure did upsets my mother. SHEESH! I despise that!

I am 38 years old!!!! I am very independent and don't live with my parents! I am not a child...I dont need anyone to call my parents and tell them to spank me for my own private life! :roll:

How do you feel if someone call and tell your parents about your own private life? I still can't believe it! :shock:
 
Oh dear!

It's good to know that your parents are on your side and ignore that person because they know that person is a childish immature.
 
I live at home with my parents, but I would never do anything that would reflect badly on them.

You may want to consider what you've done. Its obvious to me that the other person didn't like what had transpired, and thought your parents should know about it.

I don't know if it was necessarily right, but on the other hand, if you're into something you shouldn't be into, then your parents have a right to know about it. Especially, if it'll come back to bite them on the rear.

It is NOT something I have done...They are just being troublemakers...they are immature...they want stir up trouble...Im 38 years old...come on...I dont want my parents to know my own private life...It is none of their business...I haven't done anything wrong...:roll:

maybe you could confront this person and let them know how you feel about this situation.....


I agree with you they don't need to know everything that goes on with you life... I hope you this this worked out!! :)

Right. They don't need to know about your personal life since you are an adult. They should mind their own business. If, I were in your shoes I would move out of the town where they will never find out what I am doin' in my life. Or --to keep my mouth shut without tellin' them what I am doin' in my life.

I don't live around my family. I live very far away from them. They don't know what I am doin' in my daily life. More peace this way.
 
I'm sorry that your parents were upset by this nosy person, but I think they handled it right by tellling not to ever call again. Your relationship with your parents is just between you and them--no one else needs to stick their nose into it. :ugh3:

And that is right that you are adult. Parents raise you to live on your own and make own decisions. As a mom, I can hope that I raise my son to be independent and make good decisions, but time is past now for me to make decisions for him. Now is my job to let him live his way, and just be there if he needs me.

People like that don't deserve the attention you give them by confronting them. I say let it go and let them make their own misery. Not worth your time! :)
 
Color - this has happened to me several times in the past - one was even a parent of a former friend of mine!!!

My parents handled the same way your parents did - they told the callers not to call back, or a complaint would be filed against them. As for the parent, she was told that whatever happened between my former friend and me, it was our business, not theirs. And having her calling them, would only make things worse. The parent agreed, and never did bother my parents again.

I did confront some of them, and asked them why...in most cases, they were bored or jealous of my social standing and money issues. I told them never bother my parents, or I would also file a complaint against them, too, for libel and harrassment.

I've not been bothered by calls like this again, and neither have my parents.

You have to judge by the situation if you can talk to the callers, or leave them alone.

It's really not your business how old I am. I'm also not going to feed your drama by arguing with you. Just think about what I said. It might serve you some time in the future.

So, why is she bringing it HERE? :whistle: She can't have it both ways. If she wants it to remain between her and that person, then, don't bring other people into it. She is doing exactly that by bringing it to us.

It is NOTHING to do with between me and them...It has to do with them being dramatically and stir up trouble...;)

Have you ever heard of *VENT*? Then, QUIT complaining!
