Very True, Reba...

Eve ignored God´s warn that they would die if they ate fruit from a certain tree. The children of Adam & Eve were all born after God put their parents out of the garden of Eden. This means that the children would also have to grow old and die.

If only Adam & Eve had obeyed God, life would have been happy for them & their children. They could live forever in happiness on earth. No one would have had to grow old, get sick and die. Children, Great children, Great, great.... of Eve & Adam died aged between 100 and 175 until after Jesus died for our sins, our life goes shorter...

It´s interesting, I read the bible story today.

How they know which foods are healthy... (I copied from my bible)

4 boys in Babylon

King Nebuchadnezzar takes all the best educated Israelities away to Babylon. One is Daniel, & the other 3 Babylonians call Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego.
After 3 years of training he will choose only the smartest ones to help him to solve problems. The king wants the boys to be strong & healthy while they are being trained. So he gives orders that his servants should give all of them the same rich food & wine that he & his family receive.
Do you know what Daniel is saying to Nebuchadnezzar´s chief servant Ashpenaz? Daniel telling him that he doesn´t want to eat the rich things from the king´s table. But Ashpenaz is worried. "The king has decided what you are to eat & drink", he says. And if you don´t look as healthy as the other young men, he may kill me."
So Daniel goes to the guardian that Ashpenaz has put in charge of him & his 3 friends. "Please put us to the test for 10 days", he says. "Give us some vegetables to eat & water to drink. Then compare us with the other young men who are eating the king´s food, & see who looks better."
The guardian agrees to do this. And when the 10 days are over, Daniel & his 3 friends look healthier than all the other young men. So the guardian lets them continue to eat vegetables instead of what the king provides.
At the end of 3 years all the young men are taken to Nebuchadnezzar. After talking to them all, the king finds Daniel & his 3 friends to be the smartest ones. So he keeps them to help him in the palace. And whenever the king asks Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego questions or gives them hard problems, they know 10 times as much asany of his priests or wise men. Daniel 1:1-21

Interesting isnt it?

Very interesting!!

"Satan is always trying to destroy God's crowning creation "man", anyway that he can, and addicting people to tobacco is one of those ways. If Satan cannot destroy us other ways he uses this "little nasty habit" to slowly kill us over the years. Young people are the most vulnerable as many movie and television productions glamorize drinking and smoking. They never show the long term effects this habit has on people."

Rose Immortal,

Yeah, you are right!:)

What about drinking? (hard liquors, wine, beer) Is drinking a sin? :dunno:

My personal thought? I doubt it. Drunkenness and all the nasty behavior that goes with it doesn't seem right to me. But if done in moderation--and without doing stuff like driving drunk--I can't imagine it's sinful. I mean, in Jesus' time, one reason wine was such a good thing to drink was because the alcohol killed some of the bacteria that could make people really sick. So with alcohol I'd say it's not drinking in and of itself--it's irresponsibility that's a problem.

As for salvation...of course that has to be grace-based. It helps to consider the morals behind things and why they might be right or wrong, but I can assure you I will NEVER make a statement like, "You're going to Hell because you smoke." How could I know that? And I sure as heck wouldn't want every one of my sins counted against me in the same way, because I definitely have them.

Hi:)

Noah and few other people died when they were over 950 years old. But today most people died at around 75 years old. Why can't we live over 900 years old now? Is it because most people didn't believe in God so they didn't live much, much longer? Noah and few other people were godly people that they had a huge faith in God so is that why they lived over 900 years old? Maybe it's in God's eyes of the years? or maybe it's because they had huge faith in God?

I want to understand on this.:)

Momoftwo:)
Two happens: AFTER and BEFORE.

Up to 900 years old -- no rain BEFORE Noak began to build the Ark.

Declining the age down to 70 -- AFTER the rain was began with Noah' Ark.
