Ok.... Ask. 1000. Muffin.

I am very proud of him. He is home now. He spent a year in Korea and two in Iraq. He's still in the Reserves. He was badly wounded with TBI (traumatic brain injuries) so it's not likely he will be called back up. Thank you for asking.

TBI? wow... usually comes from explosion. Is that what happened to him?

What was it about #2 you liked better than #1 or the others? I saw them all a long time ago and don't remember the specifics ...

Yea Terminator 2 is the best of all. I do not recognize Terminator 3 as the sequel. sorry but it's an utter piece of shit. T1 was good but T2 was better.... probably the best sci-film of all time.... IMO.

Yes. 26 different explosions over the time he was there. Had he been in a Hummer any of those would've killed him, but being in a Bradley they just get rocked around pretty darn good.

ah yes..... I read in article published recently about soldiers suffering from multiple explosion shockwave and it's not well understood. More and more soldiers are suffering from TBI even though they do not have any visible physical damage so this case is more of a groundbreaking medical discovery. It's a very fascinating article but I cannot remember where I read it from.

man... 26 explosions!? :-o

You would be right. He has been back 2 years now and he was initially turned away from the VA hospital for this because it was such a new phenomenon that they didn't know what to do with him. But over time with more soldiers coming in for this, they don't turn them away now. He's tried all kinds of meds and treatments and nothing has worked so far. He and his dad went to a TBI seminar recently in which one of the guest speakers was a hijacking victim of the late-80's Egyptian airline (do you remember this?) and she was shot in the head, but survived. She suffered TBI for 10 years, and one day she woke up and the headaches were gone. Just like that. So it gave him some hope that someday this will get better. Because it has not gotten better at all yet.

You're not making it difficult for me, so don't worry. With all that I've seen on CNN and everything I hear, I understand it isn't a war against Iraq. It's a war against Terror. So I don't blame Bush for what's happening in Iraq, but I do wish we hadn't lost so many American lives. I wish we hadn't lost ANY. How about you?

I feel we are fighting for a good cause.

I agree with you about the loss of our American Solders. My Brother already lost his bunk mate, to a Mine. So Reality is really setting into him.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I will keep your brother in my prayers. He will be fine!

Thank you for keeping him in your thoughts and prayer. It really means a lot. :)

At least he will be in a Bradley, right?

Stryker is preferable but Bradley will do. It's a good sturdy mate. the legs love the sight & sound of it coming to rescue. :cool2:

What kind of adventure you dream of doing one day?

Hmmm .. good question. This is probably not the biggest adventure I wish for, but one thing I would like to do someday is buy a big RV and cruise all of the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Live in the thing, and see everything there is to see ..

Hubby and I talk about that all the time!

It does sound fun, doesn't it? I have touched all 48 lower states already (traveled constantly with family while growing up) but some of those states we just passed through. So it'd be fun to really explore someday.

If you wore eyeglasses, would you choose frames that were:

1. Round tortoiseshell

2. Purple oblong

3. Cats eye with rhinestones

4. Something completely different (please describe)

Probably the oblong, but I don't know about purple. Can I have lime green? :)
