oh oh another hurricane?

Now there is a tropical depression 27 in the eastern Caribbean. It could become a tropical storm on Monday.

This morning, tropical depression 27 lost closed circulation and died. The wind shear did it. If it hadn't been for that, it'd have good conditions for further development. Other systems that died this season with no names are tropical depressions 10, 19 and 22.

Not!!!

:eek2:

Fox, that thing came back to life :slap:

Tropical Storm Gamma Forms Near Honduras 23 minutes ago

MIAMI - Tropical Storm Gamma — the 24th storm of the busiest hurricane season on record — formed on Friday off the coast of Central America, and forecasters said it could threaten Florida by the beginning of next week.

Tropical storm warnings were issued for the coast of Belize and the Bay Islands of Honduras. Mexico issued a tropical storm watch for the eastern Yucatan Peninsula, which was hit hard in October by Hurricane Wilma.

The long-term track from the National Hurricane Center indicated that Gamma may take a path similar to Wilma's and head northeast toward the Florida Peninsula. Wilma sliced across the southern portion of the state Oct. 24, causing widespread power outages and more than 20 deaths.

At 4 p.m. EST, Gamma had winds of 40 mph and was about 40 miles north of Limon, Honduras, moving erratically toward the northwest at about 5 mph.

There have been so many storms this year that forecasters exhausted :dizzy: the alphabetical list of names and began naming storms after letters of the Greek alphabet.

:eek2:

The remnants of the depression continued westward, and were absorbed into a larger area of low pressure in the southwestern Carribean. The NHC was monitoring the combined system for possible development until it moved onshore into Nicaragua, ending the possibility of regeneration for the time being. However, the system re-emerged off the northern shore of Honduras and developed into Tropical Storm Gamma on November 18.

It's also headed for Florida. :eek2:

Now there is a tropical storm Delta.
It's over a thousand miles southwest of the Azores and may be a hurricane within 24 hours and won't be a threat to land.

Delta merged with a frontal system, became extratropical, cut power to over 200 thousand in the Canaries and is headed for Morocco. Let's hope that it will hit the stupid Morocoo msn spammer who attacked us.
Now there is a tropical storm Epsilon that formed in a similar manner as Delta did, as a nontropical low becoming tropical. Now it's in the middle of the ocean and headed west. The Unisys predicted track has it turning east soon. It formed on the 29th, the next to last day of the season. What if things keeps going with wimpy storms forming like this into next month? :-o Last year, Otto lasted into December. :eek2:

Wikipedia

Now Epsilon is a category 1 hurricane. It is not expected to reach land when tropical. It might get to the Azores when it's extratropical. They'll also continue using Greek letters until the end of the year in case the season refuses to die, which it already refused to do on the 30th. :-o
