Semantics to me. The way I see it if we are still attacking, we are still at war. Police don't normally attack. But not a big issue. The fall of Iraq was fairly impressive. Finding Saddam was too. But I don't think the rest of the world got the message we wanted to send.

we are not engaged in armed conflict with a conventional army nor nation. it is the insurgents and Al Queda that kept disrupting Iraq's infrastructure and cities from rebuilding itself because they do not want Iraq to be a free country.

Currently - Iraq has no solid central government and army/police to enforce the law and order. Well they do now but they are not ready yet to function itself without American assistance.

the message already got lost and is forever lost when we got stuck in Iraq much longer than expected. It doesn't matter anymore now.

That is what I am saying as well.

I still think we should stay and leave only when Iraq can operate itself. I don't want another Persian Gulf War. 2x is enough.

Second here, I used to against on Iraq war but now, I believe it is reasonable because we need stabilize of Iraq and keep under control.

Also, Iraq is oil country and oil price would going up if combat has destroy the oil fields.

I met one student that who is disabled veteran and served in Iraq war, he said that many Iraqi are happy without Saddam but still big problem about insurgent still across in Iraq to make many suicide bombs.

Bush don't need worry about low approval rating because we already learn about error so that's happen.

It is funny to watch someone continue to smash their head against a brick wall over and over and over.

Real Clear Politics uses combined polls to see all overall trend average. Individually some polls rise, some fall, but inevitably they all move continuing in a downward fashion in Obama's job approval poll result.

Double talk. You can't have it both ways. You have already conceded the point that polls are not valid. Now you want to back up and say they are simply because you think you have something to slam Obama with.

Fifty-three percent of Americans say they disapprove of the new reforms, including 39 percent who say they disapprove strongly. In the days before the bill passed the House, 37 percent said they approved and 48 percent disapproved.

Republicans and independents remain opposed to the reforms, and support has dropped some among Democrats. Now 52 percent of Democrats approve of the new reforms, a drop from 60 percent just before the bill was passed by Congress…

Elevator is still going down for this health care "reform" (which it isn't, btw).

Cratering continues..... 4 months to go til November. Keep up with the great work, Obama!

Obama approval rating = NOTHING

Majority of people think otherwise. See all the combined polls.

ssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Frankly, I am so happy people who support obama don't think the polls are a big deal. It is these people who inspire him to continue alienating the rest of the country. Hope he keeps it up for 2 more years. :)

if we can put up with Bush for 8 years.... I'm sure we can for 2 more years :)

It's a shame the Presidency is now an issue of tolerance. :)

We can tolerate 2 more years I am sure. Hopefully he keeps doing what he is doing and guarantees it will only be 2 more years that we have to put up with. It certainly helps that his supporters don't take polls seriously :)
