obama picks deaf black lawyer for white house job

"....to now work between the Obama administration and the disability community as the White House's disability liaison."
.

Is she a conservative, libertarian or democrat? those were a lot of labels tacked on to her, but the labels missed which political affiliation mindset she has.

Gee,AGBell I thought you had to be totally oral to suceed......this is a VERY high profile position. Maybe, she will speak out for the right for dhh kids to be Deaf.

Why do you want to know about her political affiliation?

It means I should tell my political affiliation to my boss.

It is important to me when someone is representing me and my views as a person with a disability. If they are going to "advocate" on my behalf, and that of my family members that also have a disability, I think it is very important to know. Is it important for her to tack on all those other labels? If so, why not political affiliation?

How you feel if she say "none of your business"?

She works for Obama.

If I work for Obama or the congress, I prefer to be mostly neutral on political.

If she said that, then I would think she didn't have my best interests in mind. However, I doubt a professional would handle themselves that way.

what political affiliation would work best for you?

The "disability" is big part of her role.

You don't need to be political affiliation to focus on disability issues.

BTW, the professional will tell you - "I don't have political affiliation."

I guess I would have to say a political affiliation that discourages dependency on the government, and encourages independence and individual liberties. To add to that, one that discourages collectivism and encourages individualism.

Wirelessly posted

Job placements for the ones that are able to work. I see too many people with abilities to use their two hands and they sit home milking the system dry.

Actually, disability issues are some of the most political issues there are.

How BS?

In my business class, one student asked my professor about her political affiliation so she told us that she doesn't have political affiliation. I understand her and I know she is very neutral.

If I have to ask a question, I prefer in private matter and it isn't my interest to ask in public area.

Oh wow, someone misunderstood my post.

I'm saying: You don't need have political affiliation (known as independent) to focus on disability issues.

I don't have to become a democrat to support gay marriage, so I can be independent and support gay marriage.

Your professor does not work for a Presidential administration which is made public to the American people.
