Passing thru to other locations upstate.
It's a boring interstate ride with almost nothing in between our area and Columbia. Just flat, tree-lined highway.
North of Columbia, rolling hills begin, gets a little more interesting, especially as you get closer to the North Carolina border and mountains.
If you like "country" cooking, the Lizard's Thicket is outside Columbia. Very rustic. While you wait in line, there's a bathroom sink so you can wash your hands before you eat.
