Obama ads won't air on ABC

Good news for Pushing Daisies TV series though, since people tired of politics may watch it instead.

If you read the article closely, you'll notice that it was the Obama campaign who refused the ad time. Why they made that decision, I don't know. However, given Obama's lead in the national polls, I don't think this will be detrimental to Obama during the remaining final days of the election.

Showing ads to people who are, already, likely to vote for you: "a preacher preaching to the choir"

It would appear that Obama is placing ads where they are needed the most. Logical decision to me.

The World Series? PowerOn, it was not Obama's fault. The Fox Network made the decision!

Obama halt World Series to do the ads! Stupid stupid stupid!
Obama trumps suspended World Series game - TV Squad

I want to watch that game! Waaah!

The fact that they suspended it is idiotic. They should have followed the forecast and scheduled the game a bit earlier as to expect a potential rain delay.

Not to mention all the bad calls by umpires. I never thought I'd say it but I don't think either team deserves to win after all of the shenanigans.

Any way you look at this issue, it is a logistical nightmare and they are trying to make the best of it.

Logistical nightmare? Why do you say that?

This has never happened in the history of the World Series and if you don't know, that's about 100 years or more.

Ok, prior to the fifth game (Rays were either gonna lose the Series or take it back to TB), the Rays checked out of their hotel, right? Now we have a game postponed and when they tried to book their hotel again, they were sold out and ended up in New Hampshire, some 40 minutes' drive away. That's one part of the logistics scenario and here's a few more of them and I am positive there are others I have yet to think of:

What about the fans? Especially those who flew in? The wide spectrum of obligations people have.... The Phillies were preparing for a parade and those plans need updating. The vendors at the stadium have their issues. The game was postponed again tonight and will resume tomorrow, weather permitting. It will resume where they left off and the bullpen has to mop up, not the starters.

I am sure the members here can add more.......

NH isn't 40 minutes away from PA.

Suppose you set the record straight, Brad. Sports announcers were saying the team found a hotel 35-40 minutes drive north. Did I get the wrong State?

Got it. Thanks for the explanation, Tousi. :)

I'm not familiar with PA but I am familiar with New England and I know that it's geographically impossible for NH to be 40 mins away from PA.

Ah, just found out: The Rays stayed at the DuPont hotel in Wilmington, Delaware.

ABC, Disney, Touchstone and other studios owned by Disney are against Obama? ...Interesting.

ABC isn't against Obama. It was the Obama campaign who decided not to air ads on ABC.
