Some people who are not obese have diabetes, too. One student at my old school had diabetes and he was not fat. What is wrong with your thinking?
Obesity is greater risk for diabetes.
My father got diabetes in mid 1990's because he was obese.

I replied to Oddball's post about diabetics.
You are right. I just googled it, however there were mixed reviews. Anyway, my question is "Can obese people get diabetes from eating alot of candies as well?". If so, banning large sodas and not banning large candy? It doesn't make sense.Obesity is one of strongest play in type 2 diabetes.
Family history is other reason, but you can get type 2 diabetes much earlier if you are obese.
Type 1 diabetes usually caused by family history but type 2 diabetes caused by environment and history.

You can get type 2 diabetes from eat McDonald's everyday, especially if you are obese.
More people drink soda than eat candies, also it is easier for me to drink soda to fill more calorie to stabilize my weight.
NYC doesn't like super sized drink cup, even they don't like super sized meals too.
