It is 100% the customers fault. No one forces them to buy it. The customer makes the choice. It is the customer's responsibility to be informed. I can just look at the grease on fast food and tell it is not good for you. Shouldnt need to be told.

Regardless, restaurants would stop making thar crap if people would stop buying it.

Well, again - I disagree about faultiness and not going further argument about faultiness.

The nutrient should be intensive taught in the school from K to 12.

They taught nutrition in my school......A lot...

You can't blame restaurants for making what people want. They are merely providing for demand.

Not at my school - very little at elementary school, that it.

Like I said above - I still disagree with you and not interested in face to face debate about faultiness or blame, with you. I blame on fast food for not offer healthy food and many customers don't know about how bad is fast food until advised by medical professionals.

The risk of obesity should be taught at school as well.

In bold - BTW, I have used same argument for video game and you just reacted differently.

Not at all.....I don't blame the video game makers for making them. It's legal and there is a demand.

Foxrac, didn't you know many fast food businesses such as Arby's and McDonald's posted a list of calories for customers to read? Just like cigarette makers are required to label the warning. In other words, obese customers notice it or ignore it so that's their choice to make. The restaurants get no blame at all. Period!

Do you think obese people would win a lawsuit against a restaurant for making them fat? Oh, please!

Not everyone receive same kind of education as you did, also I didn't know about risk of obesity until adulthood.

The obesity wasn't major issue when you were younger

Right. We didn't have video games.....we actually went outside to play. Exercise. Amazingly the DID still have fast food when I was a kid.

Exactly, no one forced them to go to the restaurant. No one forced them to buy a burger and fries.....or a milkshake. Sadly, we are raising a generation that is unable to accept responsibility for their actions.

Yeah, after school, we were required to exercise for about 20 minutes before playing (that was at my deaf school).

My hearing kids just went home after school (no exercise at all) since they didn't participate in any sports. Luckily they are not fat, even though they ate fast food. As for now, my daughter is trying to eat right and I still eat shit.

None of my family is obese...if they were, they would catch some flack from me!...Just don't believe in stuffing ur face until you're about to burst....then again, we do eat fast foods 2-3 times a month...even my boys don't eat sweets or cakes....

Have a friend that complained about her knees and feet hurting so bad....For a long time, I just sympathized with her...but finally told her..."Lose Weight!"...She got all "haughty and mad"...I'm much older than her...and she has so many health problems due to her being obese...at 5'2 and 350 lbs....what does she expect?...

Not all customers know about nutrient fact nor is calorie - there is no warning label on fast food's food because they are not required by law, unlike tobacco products do.

Period? Not really, I don't agree with you about faultiness and blame because I have different philosophy that blame on fast food companies for obesity epidemic.

I'm glad that Personal Responsibility in Food Consumption Act failed at federal level and the customers are free to sue fast food companies whatever they want.

CP. Not exactly, many can NOT read, or understand the numbers. When these kinds of people saw it, it means nothing to them because they don't understand so their fault?

Again, it comes down to point... EDUCATION. Lately government have been cutting down on education expenses and this is hurting Americans, especially in long run.

Nonsense. There is plenty of "education" The problem is people have no common sense. Anyone with an IQ above 50 should be able to look at a quarter pounder with cheese and know that it isn't healthy.

It's a fact of life....people like that crap.

Way too many people are looking for someone else to take care of them. If you can manage to live day to day you should be able to manage how you take care of yourself.
