CLEVELAND– A nurse was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Wednesday in a murder-for-hire plot, according to authorities.
Andrew Martin, 23, of Bristolville was arrested in November 2012 and pleaded guilty earlier this year.
An affidavit stated Martin was involved in an ownership dispute with a Lakewood resident over a property on Clifton Avenue.
He was accused of soliciting a Cleveland Clinic patient to murder the resident, because, “she has been trying to mess up my life;” he told that person to make it look like a robbery.
Martin was also ordered to pay more than $83,000 in restitution.
