Thought I would start a thread about some vacations that were not so hot. I'm sure many of you have had a vacation like that. Here's mine to start off:

Let's see, the summer I was 18 I went on a final road trip with folks before I went off to college (RIT) .. We flew from Minnesota to Seattle, WA. Rented a car and drove all around the mountains in WA and OR -- St. Helen, Rainier, Hood, etc. On our 2nd to last day before flying home .. This is how the day went:

We had our suitcases packed and *I* threw them all into the rental car trunk *including* the rental car keys. That was locksmith #1.

In the mountains, Mom is very afraid of heights, so she never got out of the car while Dad and I did to take pictures. About half-way up, Mom DID decide to get out and stretch her legs. Dad left the keys in the ignition, assuming Mom wasn't getting out. Not a problem, but Mom had to lock the doors when stretching her legs? That was locksmith #2. For some reason, it took quite some fiddling with both the passenger and driver locks, but the locksmith finally got the door open.

This is still the same day .. moving on .. We are at the top of the mountain. We stopped at a chalet for lunch. We locked the doors, Dad had the keys firmly tucked in his pocket. We finished lunch, back to the car for the return journey down the mountain. Now, remember, Locksmith #2 had to fiddle quite a bit with the doors for some reason. Unbeknownst to us, the locks were effectively ruined -- they did not work WITH keys or WITHOUT keys. Here comes Locksmith #3. :-o

(Way up in the mountains, getting a locksmith is no easy task. We had to call the forest ranger not once, but twice .. we spent much of the day with the him, probably much to his amusement!)

We returned the rental car that evening. Needless to say, the rental car agency was not thrilled to hear that no door locks were functioning, keys or no keys. :-o

Now, how about yours ??

Me ha!!!!!!!!!! My son, my exb and I went on the bus to Louisanna where my exb lives. On the bus it was nice and quiet not much of ppl on it til we get to NY. More ppl got on the bus and filling up quickly. So we ended up sleeping on the bus in a sitting position which is not comfortable. Once we got to W. VA. people had to get off the bus for the bus to be clean. Once back on it again. People was fighting over who going and who is not going since the bus was full already then the bus driver was fed up and left us sitting there waiting for the new bus drivier. We waited for about 1 hrs for a new bus driver finally moving along. As we move along and stop to dropped ppl off and it getting less and less. As we got to LA and get off I was thrilled that the ride of the bus was over.

Now when come to drive home to my exb's house. He went out to get his car. To my horror his car was a junk and I wasnt too thrilled at all. The door of the passenger side cant be open from the outside but only inside. That sucks. Also when filling gas tank he had to fill it up at the half tank left other wise it wont move if less then that. Then every time my exb drive and see the driver coming from the right and was making a stop. He made a suddenly stop or put the braked on his car which scare the hell of me  and I told him that he cant do that. Geez wheez!!!

On the way back home to NH, my exb drove his car of course what else. He had his trailer pulling behind him. 2 or 3 times the tires of the trailer went flat. We ended up staying at hotel on the first nite then the second nite at the camping ground and on the third nite it was a bit tough to find a camping ground since it was so late at nite. So we finally found one and stay for the nite. On the fourth nite we stayed at my friend's house in his trailer for 2 days. Then we went home back to my house. Whewwwwwwwww never again. Geez wheez I need a dependable transportation.
