That's like 4 years from now...and the next Xbox console should be having plans for next year but seems Microsoft is holding onto that, as for Sony and Nintendo as well.

It seems that the wait for next generation of consoles would expand alittle longer than we thought...but at least thats good cause that still gives us more games to get on Xbox360, PS3, and possibly Wii. I've heard somewhere that Nintendo is already doing the next project on the successor to Wii but who knows.

Anyway, in my opinon I think thats actually a good idea cause it seems like in the past, almost 4 years for each console to come out, 4 years doesnt really seem too long so perhas for 8 or 10 years is the longest as it can go.

The consoles we have now seems to be plenty good and we have more than enough with them.

However, I fear that in the next generation, the games could get even more expensive so I hope it'll never happen. $60 is still too much so I hope they'll find a way to cut it back to $40/$50 like the old days.

Anyway here's the link:

Both of PS3 and Xbox 360 will be outdated in 2012 since PC games with future graphic card and new gen of CPU would do it for games in future.

Well I actually wish there are no more generation, and just stick with whatever the consule is today.. I was just tired of new new new, that's all..

No, existing technology doesn't last for long time, there's always new technology is coming in future and more games are start feeds more bandwidth against graphic card and CPU, also DVD is more limited and very closer to peak for some of existing generation, except for PS3 use BD. Xbox series need be update with newer graphic card to support DX 10, that's more accurate and realistic than DX 9, DX 10 is finally released to PC for Vista only but nothing on Xbox 360 due possibly hardware limitation.

GeForce 6 series and below are outdated, 7 series is considered as outdated for Vista due lacks of DX 10 support, same with ATI Radeon X100's series and below are outdated and X1000's for Vista due no DX 10 support, for CPU like Pentium 4 is now outdated for newer gaming world but still mainstream for causal or daily computing, also it can be used for old games that released in before 2006, all single core CPU are very closer to be outdated, even earlier dual core like Pentium D is so, just especially for newer gaming right now.

No existing hardware technology would lasts longer, 2012 is more make sense for PS3 because of 6 years from 2006, not know about Xbox 360 and Wii.

Ohh thank you for explaination :) Upgrading is just one of my pet peeves, so there's no need to take this too personal ;)

Wow, that's good, and I went to GameStop store still not yet arrive in for the jasper boxes. then I will check at the BB store on Aug 7th if they have new jasper..

I think this is a good idea. It would give them time to ensure that they have the best console possible. :)
