Connectivity
Wii will have built-in 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity allowing communication over the Internet and with the Nintendo DS. Nintendo has stated that the Wii will implement standard Wi-Fi protocols. An optional USB adapter planned for release will provide network connectivity via wired Ethernet.[1]

Wii has a flip lid that can be opened to reveal four ports for GameCube controllers and two GameCube memory card slots. Two USB ports (at the rear) and one SD card slot (behind a flap cover at the front of the console)[13] are provided. Additionally a small internal attachment (a dongle) to be sold as an add-on to the console will allow Wii to play DVD-Video.



eh...seems that the Wii could play DVDs, FINALLY for the first time from Nintendo...but hey, who knows, really?

I am for ultra-cool realistic graphics but I don't care for all the processing power... All it takes is great artists to create nice-looking models while not taking up too many polygons, and properly use of shaders, but I don't want to get too technical. Thus, I'm not going to spend $500-$600 for PS3.

I may buy Wii before PS3 due $250 then I will join www.gamefly.com for rent Wii game instead buy Wii games 'til find best endless games.
 
The only Wii game I'm interested to try out is Metroid Prime 3 since it would work great with the remote controller in a FPS game but not sure about Super Smash Bros. Brawl...since it looks pretty cool I've hear rumors and hints that you could possibly even use the GameCube controller for the SSMB game on the Wii.
 
I really like Wii because of physical game that i can do standing around and use controller. It looks more fun to get involved into screen.

I liked 360 of xbox live. I am more into HD games.

Also I like Playstation 3 of blu-ray into HDMI to Sony HDTV. Watch movies with HD resolution. I dunno about games.

Sony blu-ray dvd player worth 999.99. Not worth it. Buy PS3! It is more cheaper with blu-ray and game console together.

It is crazy to buy all of those. What can I do about it? LOL

I always like Mario and it is more fun. I looked several times on Wii website and it make me feel want to buy it.

It will be good for my girls when they grow up and play.

Good idea, but I dont wanna to pay 2 monthly fee on rental intenet cuz am currently member of netflix.com, so thats why I never join gamefly.com and I always ask my friends if its good game and I buy it...
 
Wii possible release earlier like November 2. Will see about that.

other date is november 12.

Rumor has it that the price would possibly be lower than $250...no joke. but we'll wait and see. :P
 
I don't know. I saw Nintendo Power told me it is 250.00. That what I reading magzine Nintendo Power. :)
 
Nintendo wii will announce in September about how much cost and release dates. :)
 
I read on another forum that the Japanese Yen price is $170 in U.S dollars, but the offical price for the U.S has not been announced yet.
I am hoping it is $170-$200. If it is $200, I want a $20-$50 coupon for free downloads of Wiicontent games. Or a free copy of Super Mario Galaxy..

Yes, it is false. Japan will announce them in September. :)
 
I'm pretty sure Nintendo will announce the launch date and the price at Tokyo's Game Show (which is similar to E3 this may) this september.
