My name is Erick. I am a hearing person, and I just joined recently. My reason for being in this community is to spread word about a little project I've been working on. The project is a free mobile application thats designed to aid people that are deaf and hard of hearing in communication with hearing people that don't know sign language. I came across this idea by accident as I played with programming ideas in my free time (I am a software engineering student) and thought it could be very helpful, so I built it! I don't personally know anyone that is deaf or hard of hearing, so my logic for the app has come from simple research I've done on the internet. I won't know for sure if I've designed something that actually works well for the deaf and hard of hearing until these individuals play with the app and share their thoughts with me.
