So for a few years now Ive been told my hearing is stable, but then I went in for a simple hearing aide adjustment after my last hearing check and was told that I now qualify for two hearing aides (whereas before I only had one in my left ear). Kind of a shock, and I wish my audiologist had told me about the "slight" changes in my hearing over the past couple of years that have resulted in enough culmination of loss for another hearing aide. Given the one I have is about 7 years old, I am getting two new hearing aides. My hearing loss is mild to moderate (last I was told) in the higher frequencies and so I was recommended either the Phonak Smart or the Oticon Agil or Acto. Anyone have experience with these? I have a Phonak now and it has worked well for me but technology, it seems, has changed a lot. Any knowledge or tips would be nice.
