Nepalese offer tips on helping the deaf in city - Lancashire Evening Post
Deaf students from Nepal have been experiencing life in Preston as part of an international exchange programme.
Two youngsters from Katmandu, Dierdre and Kul, are spending three months in the UK as part of the Deaf Global Xchange supported by Preston charity Deafway.
They have been working with Preston Council and officers have been using their visit to improve services for deaf people, including the website and contact centre.
A portfolio of their work has also been created to show the work experience they have benefited from.
The exchange is the first programme run specifically for deaf students.
As part of the programme nine British students will also be visiting Nepal.
