Anyone got any idea how to lose 23 more pounds by aug? So I can reach my goal. Ive lost 20 so far by excrising but it seems like its not working anymore.. any ideas

drink more water? maybe change your excerise routine as it takes longer for you to burn more calories as you lose more weight

- Eat lots of fruits and green salads
- Drink plenty of water
- Exercise ( walkin', joggin', bicyclin', and etc., etc. )
- Sleep 8 hours
- Avoid salt, starch, grease and fat foods
- Avoid candies/or sweet bars ( use fruits instead )

- Try seafoods instead of raw meats ( they contain antibotics and hormones in meats ).

Good luck ! :)

Guys! Im glad someone responded back to me. I needed some more advice about losing more weight.. The pool opens on the 26 and Im hoping it will help also.. I will also follow your plans to see if it works.. It's like the last min fat that I need to get rid of which isn't easy thanks again!

Stay away from red meat, eat more seafood. A lot of NBA players include fish in their diet to stay trim and strong without gaining unnecessary weight.
It is possible to lose 20 pounds in the first week of a diet if you drink a lot of water. However, after that, you can only lose 1.5 pounds a week. That may be what you are expereincing since you stated that you lost 20 pounds, and now your body is adjusting. Also, vary your exercise routine, doing the same thing for the same amount of time will get your body to be complacent. Jordan had Tim Grover, one of the best trainers in the world train him in his last few years as a Chicago Bull. Grover stressed variance in exercise and workouts because the body could get used to a certain amount of work.
Swimming is one of the best workouts, because you get to work out your entire body, and it doesn't stress your body like jogging. Also, when swimming, there's no sweat! That's one of the things I love about swimming, no sweating! Best of luck.

Yep, swimmin' does help ! I love swimmin' and it feels good to be in the water, too. LOL
I like to dip in a REAL COLD water once in awhile and it is good for my pores ! ;)

You're welcome. :) For best advice : DON'T take diet pills. It's not good for health.

Important to eat meats serve with salads during diet because of protein.

I do eat red and white meats with salads during diet... Don't you know that red meat has high protein than white meats.

Eat red meat once a week and white meat twice a week... Fish 3 times a week and plenty of drinking water and execrises.

Beans ( red kidney, pinto, lima, etc., etc. ) are proteins, too. It's NOT necessary to eat red meats for substitute. Same thing with regular salt is not good for body, but Sea Salt is better.

There's another way to substitute to eat that are good for health.

Everything in your body is composed of protein's and you can't digest proteins without fats, so these are the two things you need plus complex carbs like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower.........

Stay away from sugars and simple carbs (sourdough bread is good and Bali's Sun Coconut Oil is one of the very best coconut oil you can have).

You can put clove in your teacup, and drink kombucha which helps with digestion.

You can get an urban rebounder which is about $150.00 and it's like a stair climber, and threadmill in one plus great for crunches as it supports your back and neck, and the greatest exercise for your lympathic system, but you have to stay away from the cheap ones because they will affect your knees more, I know I've had both types!

WEIGHT LOSS: Daily in the morning 1/2 hour before breakfast on an empty
stomach and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled
in one-cup water. If taken regularly it reduces the weight of even the most
obese person.

Below is taken from Bee about her Candida Diet, she's world reknown on the Internet yahoo group about Candida:

cutting out the carbs is only
difficult for a couple of days, or maybe 3 or 4 at the worst. your
body will need a little time to adjust to not using a daily intake of
carbs for fuel, and will end up switching over to using the good fats
we eat as its fuel source. i think the worst part of it is really the
emotional attachment, the routine and the habit of eating those foods.
we really don't need them to be healthy or active.

make sure you take the time to read the information that was sent to
you when you joined. and go to the files section and start reading
too. there is a wealth of important information there.

meanwhile...

a typical day in my current routine:

breakfast, 2 or 3 cups very weak tea (yerba mate is my current fave)
2 eggs gently fried in a little bacon fat & seasoned with sea salt &
cayenne(bacon from natural healthy pigs, no sugars, preservatives etc)
and one slice bacon

later when i get hungry, a bowl of warm (not too hot) pureed veg soup
with a good dollop of coconut oil and some raw butter stirred in
(combination of onion, celery, broccoli, cauliflower and kale)

or some tuna or sardine salad with a crudites of radishes and celery
(when i'm tolerating raw veggies, sometimes i have to keep away from
them due to digestive troubles)

sometimes i snack on a little extra protein or fat or both, like
yesterday afternoon i had a little plate of leftover duck breast with
a slice of raw butter, and some sea salt sprinkled on top. just enough
to tide me over until dinner.

or i'll snack on a few tablespoons of homemade sauerkraut or kim chee.

dinner is usually a first course of protein with a green salad (lately
with fresh tomato and onion with an apple cider vinagrette)
then if i'm still hungry a little while afterwards, some steamed
veggies with butter and sea salt, or coconut oil & sea salt.

Believe me if you eat plenty of fat, protein and
fiber-rich carbs (like broccoli) you will be far from
hungry! I have a hard time getting all my food in
that I'm supposed to and I've been losing weight like
crazy.

Trust me when I say that you will have a feeling of
satiety like you've never had in your life. I never
felt actually full on a high carb meal, and I do now.

Why Do High-Protein Diets Work?
Lose more weight when you eat lean, red meat

http://onhealth.webmd.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=56715

I limit high protein that's why we eat red meat once a week to serve with salad or vegetables and eat white meats twice a week and fish 3 time a week.

Spinach.. mmmhhhh!!! It's also protein as well.

Mainly important is drink water and herbal tea frequently and more execrise.
sounds good but don't get me wrong I hate Spinach~ haha but I'm going to try it out... thank you for taking your time to write this :scatter:

Have you taken up weight lifting? I have an appointment tonight with a personal trainer to help me learn how to develop a weight lifting routine. Building muscles will help your metabolism and burn fat faster.

If not, you can always use dumbells at home and look online for ideas.

Hmm :dunno: - are you eating food with hidden sodium? What about drinking more than 8 glasses of water a day?

Are you doing cardio activity at least five times a week for 30 to 45 minutes each for weight loss?

BINGO!

Diet sodas are not good - in fact, they have sodium.

Better drink plain water - I drink them mixed with Crystal Light. Try to go without diet sodas for a week and see if you lose a pound or two. If I drink a gallon of water a day, I lose weight faster.

GALLON!!!!!!!!!! Jeez!! Thats awful a lot to drink a day... My step father's manger once told me about drinking a gallon a day and it helps her. She lost 40 pounds by doing that... I was just talking to my sister about it since she is working out with me, she can't seem to lose 1 pound and been working out as long as I have.. She runs 2 miles everyday.... she also drinks diets too.... I work out on the bike, trimill, weights and do sit-ups.
My step was a ex drill sgt in the miltary and told me one time to do sit-up every other day, but Im doing it everyday.. I just don't know whats good or bad... How do you workout?? every other day?? :dunno:
