Need $2500 to stay alive

A few things that makes me wonder.... First she has $100 tied into her hair, second, her husband is not there for the interview?

Good question. I didn't see where to donate money either.

Didn't hear about $100 hair. Curious where it was mentioned?

I did not open the link but I know there was a woman that got busted for taking $$$ from people , the woman said she had 'cancer' when there was nothing wrong with her. You need to be really careful about giving your $$$ to anyone that post on facebook they're or someone in their family is dying and need $$$ really fast. If you really want to give your money to help people that have cancer give it to a well known organization and not some Jane or Joe Blow on facebook .

She could get in trouble with IRS if she misuses money from donation.

I find it hard to believe that a hospital would let someone die over $2500.

I knew of a guy that dies because did not have enough money to see a DR.
His friends tried to get the money together for the guy but it was too late. And it was for less than $2500 to see the DR. This was in northern California and there where not a lot of DR. around and the hospital was too far away.

That is sad the guy you knew didn't go to a emergency room like UC Davis. There are many ER's who will treat regardless of your ability to pay.

I had an intense abdominal pain and to this day have no idea what it was about. I was told by the ER it was likely my gallbladder was going to have to be removed, but they wouldn't operate until I paid them. I didn't have any money, so they refused and left in in intense pain for a while and the pain eventually subsided. I was consuming alochol to attempt to numb the pain and it eventually worked and I don't know how or why. I wasn't able to drive or really walk more than 5 feet.

I still owe the ER for that vist and can't pay it. BS hospitals will operate before getting cash. I think the Smyth County Hospital wanted $900 or so upfront.

the guy did not have car and this was in the 70's up in Northern California . I was living there at the time but if I knew the guy had no money I would had help too. I knew a couple the where interracial the dad was Black and the mom White they had two kids one was a baby. They had gone on a road trip and their truck broke down and they did not have enough money to fix it .
And their baby got sick , the dad tried to sell some of blood but he couldn't it was 'Black' blood! No one would treat the baby because he was Black.
The dad called his friend for help and he did not have enough money so he called me and see if I would loan the family money to get help their baby. I was getting ready to fly to Boston so I gave my friend a check to wire to his friend. I just could not believe that anyone let a baby dies because he was Black! The family truck broke down in a small town that was all White and needed to get out of there fast. I am glad I was still home to answer my phone as I just out the door to go the airport.
