The director of the North Carolina School For The Deaf in Morganton is stepping down.

She will now take a position with the Office of Education Services in Raleigh.

The controversy at the school because arose because of claims that the director and several administrators don’t know how to use sign language fluently.

The principal at the North Carolina School For The Deaf will be the interim school director beginning on April 1st.
