Wirelessly posted (sent from a smartphone. )

Here I go....I recently went to Minneapolis/St Paul for the weekend. Was there for 3 days. We stayed at our friends house between St Paul and Minneapolis. The metro area (I haven't been to all of the metro area) looks fairly clean, trees are stunted (shorter than in Iowa), lots of activities, quick light rail route, ok bus service depending on area and poor state government that tends to shut down on occassions.

My overall review is: Good place to live if you like the very cold winters and hot n humid with nasty mosquitoes.

My friend wanted us to move there, my gf wants to but I don't. I don't like dealing with snow and frigid cold winters and economically depressed government.

Interesting observation after only 3 days.

Just about most of the deaf people I know in St. Paul/Minneapolis DO have jobs. Don't flame the deaf people there if you don't know this for a fact.

The deaf club rocks, by the way. It's packed every weekend. Did you visit that?

I am getting tried of dealing with New England winters! 5-6 months of winters it too long for me! and I hate it too hot , not sure which state would be best for me.

Maybe interior VA, NC, SC, GA? Maybe near the Appalacians in these states?
Though I doubt I'll ever move, these are the areas I'd consider.
