:deaf: I am new ..I am deaf since 5 years old ...Now i am using a cochlear implant on my leftside... its really cool to be hearing again ..but not 100 percent hearing ... just normal average hear and speech.. still learing long to go ...
 
i am very friendly with the big heart...i am married for 16 years i have a son (soon to be 18 yrs old )..I am living in my country home , not towns or cities..i dont met deafies much often around here...

Did u just get your CI or have u had it for a long time?
 
Welcome to AD! :) I have bilateral cochlear implants. I received my first implant in December of 2004 and my second in February of last year. If you don't mind my asking, what CI brand do you have (Nucleus, Advanced Bionics, Med-El)? I have a Nucleus 24C in my left ear and a Nucleus Freedom in my right. Again, welcome!
 
Hello and welcome to Alldeaf! That's good for you to be able to hear as much as you're able to...btw (by the way), do you also know sign-language too, if not, that's ok too. ;) Out in the countryside?? Geee, that must be really cool and nice! Even though you don't meet other 'deaf' people, surely, you'll meet a great group of people here in AD and hope your stay here will be a great one too! :)
