The Circuit Court in Koszalin, north-west Poland, sentenced the 31-year old Marek Sydoruk to 25 years imprisonment for killing a deaf-dumb teenager.
He will be able to apply for parole after serving 20 years.
The second defendant in the case, 21-year old Robert Lewandowski, was acquitted last Friday.
The killing of 17[-year old Martyna B. took place in June 2005 in Slawno, north-west Poland, in Marek Sydoruk’s flat. She was stabbed with a knife, then her body was cut in to pieces, put into plastic bags and left at different refuse piles.
Both the victim and the perpetrator were deaf-dumb.
The court agreed to make the names and faces of the defendants known to the public.
