Mustangs donate $7,000 to Oral School for the Deaf | Germantown News

The Mustangs of Memphis have been supporting the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf with various events throughout the year, including an auction and the proceeds from a car show.

On Saturday, Nov. 13, this group of Ford Mustang fans presented MOSD with a check for $7,000. These funds will help Memphis Oral School for the Deaf continue to provide listening and spoken language skills and a preschool education to deaf and hard-of-hearing children from all over the Mid-South.

The Memphis Oral School for the Deaf is very grateful to the Mustangs of Memphis for all they do to benefit the school.

The Memphis Oral School for the Deaf is located in Germantown, and works to empower deaf children to listen, learn, and talk.

MOSD has been located in the Memphis community for over 50 years, serving families from all over the Mid-South.

At MOSD no sign language is used, instead using speech and language therapies and audiological services in conjunction with our preschool classes to help profoundly deaf and hard-of-hearing children ages birth to six-years-old. These specialized techniques help the children develop the necessary listening and spoken language skills to become a part of, rather than apart from, a world of sound.
