Mrs Obama wear shorts during vacation with her children

I don't get why this is news. Just because he is President and she is the First Lady, it doesn't mean they can't be real people.

Why do we care what Michelle Obama is wearing?

I can't stand this about female politicians. We're always talking about what they wear, but never once has the media mentioned something Barrack Obama was wearing. :ugh:

because apparently the entire America is talking about it, including Oprah and fashion tv shows. In fact - while some people scorned her wearing something that's unbecoming of First Lady, she is the one who empowered the modern American working women in wearing comfortable, affordable, and stylish work clothes. That's why some outfits at J. Crew worn by Michelle was sold out for a while. I mean jesus..... have you seen what our hottest celebrities wear privately? It's not even sexy :ugh2:

Latest style flap? Hahahaha. I don't see anything wrong with Michelle wearing shorts. Shorts are fine, but I think either bermuda or capri pants would look better on her.

Grand Canyon is HOT. Very hot. My dad wore a shirt like Obama's and a pair of pants. He used to refuse to wear shorts, because his legs were skinny. LOL.

It is not the first time critics criticize Michelle's clothes. Some were complaining that Michelle Obama wore her $500 tennis shoes at Food Bank.

Even so I think what female politicians are wearing come up much more often than what their male counterparts are, and it's usually a theme of how much skin is exposed. For example there was a lot of talk about Michelle Obama wearing a sleeveless dress and now there's talk about her shorts being too short.

by going with your logic, there's nothing wrong with President Obama wearing tank tops and shorts w/ flip flop walking out of Air Force One on vacation, right? :lol:
 
I just gotta laugh....why would people feel the right to critique the Presidential family on their choice of vacation wardrobe? Goodness, they probably shower IN THE NUDE! I bet they lower their trousers when they have a bowel movement. Who cares if you find it offensive she wore shorts on Air Force One? Just keep beating that horse....

Not if he is on vacation. If he was on a business trip, different story. That would be a big NO NO.

Mrs.Bucket posted pics of him with no shirt on so what difference would a tank top make?
 
Jeezums - Just because they are in the eyes of the media and the people doesn't mean that one should be all covered up.

I say, Let them dress accordingly and be comfortable.

well the difference is - he was already at vacation home, not coming out of Air Force One. What Michelle Obama did is equivalent to Obama wearing tank tops + shorts + flip flop coming out of Air Force One with full press coverage in front of him. Would that be ok?

Aye aye Captain, I did happen to read all the replies first, since there was a 6+ hour gap there. I just find it laughable. They should have a dress code? What is the requirements? Shorts below the knees? Children held to the same standards as well? Who decides this? Are we worried the French will be offended?

that's the thing. too "comfortable"? and was it really "accordingly" ? :hmm:

Both Obama and Michelle continue to raised my eyebrows such as Michelle walking out with short shorts, Queen Elizabeth hug, etc. but it is interesting to see how they put a certain "family" flavor into White House.
