Movie about a deaf dejay

I know this is a stretch, but my mom (who teaches sign language to high school students) heard through a student's parent that a movie was coming out about a deaf dejay. I don't know if this was a really bad joke or not. Can anyone tell me more about this. Its really interesting if thats the case or just a bad joke if it is so ... Lost in ... translation?
 
It would be interesting, but I have not heard anything about such a movie--perhaps one of the members here might have--members??? Otherwise, this could very well be construed as a 'lowly' joke....
 
Ahh...starting out as a 'hearing dj', eventually the way of the high-strung life he lived led him to his downfall as a 'dj' when he became 'deaf'...yet, made a comeback later on and disappearing as quickly as he resurfaced back in the world he was widely known for....May be an interesting movie to see--

Well there are a lot of deafies I know who love music. I am one of them..Why can't there be a deaf deejay?

Commendible if they try to make this somewhat real. Also looks like just a big drug and dance movie which isn't as interesting to me at least and I know it'd turn off my mom's students who might other wise be interested. Then again I'm assuming it'd ever make it out to where she lives in the big O! :popcorn:
