What do you look for in a hotel/motel/inn/cottage type of a place?

who cares about these staying hospitably. Depends the location closer and to stay overnight..
As long reasonable the prices.. than stupid pricey!

Embassy Suit was my favorite place to go. It's pleasant and finest hotel where you get an awsome warm breakfast which charge nothing. And pretty large indoor with usually pond filled of gold fish like japan style.

Indeed, it cost expensive for each night.

I would choose any hotel that has a view to the ocean. Always so beautiful, you could hear the waves. 14 days for almost 135 (I get employee rates). At other hotel that I used to work 4 years ago was 249 for one week. Depending where you are at.

I get employee rates because I work at the hotel. Next time we will go to Maimi, Florida or Clearwater.

Lucky me! I am on the ocean, just a mere 600 footsteps and you are on the beach.

That question gets asked a lot: do you have a view of the ocean? We don't which is a good thing due to the intense wind storms that periodically come ashore.

If anyone interested, just mention "Purple Roofs" at my business, you would get an automatic 10 percent discount.

What's Purple Roofs? I never heard of that. We travel alot during the winter to get away from Winter headaches to enjoy the beach, especially the sun. I hate the cold weather. When we got our reversations, I asked for a view on the beach, and we did got the view at Pompano Beach. The room has a sliding door toward the deck to watch the view. We had one night with bad storm-lightning, winds, n' all. BEAUTIFUL! There was a strong wind the night before the storm with high tide...it got very very chilly, but we stayed outside anyways at the Tiki bar. We can walk right into the sand from outside of the hotel. Very beautiful.

Yes, I would say you're lucky!!! When I do retire, I am gonna move down to South Carolina and get a house somewhere right on the beach, or at least a cottage a block away...My parents moved last year and live a block away from Surfside Beach. There are lot of houses down there for sale, or rental. She said the hotel down there is reasonable, but it doesn't have one right at the beach near her house. I don't care about the winds, the hurricane, etc...I am not afraid, and I won't run and hide from Mother's Nature. We got to live a little, don't we?

It is a national organization that we belong too. Just Google it on the net and you will have many different places to choose from to stay at. Some of the hotels/motels/Inns/Cottages state that if you mention "Purple Roofs", you will get a discount.

Always do a research on the hotel/motel/Inns/Cottages to see if they belong to a national organization, you may get more discounts!

(I just went through a 128 mph windstorm two weeks ago and still cleaning up from it.)

OF COURSE always the famous words!!!! Wish I was there!!! We used to have tornado once, I never forget that night. We left town and when we came back in town--leaves, debris were everywhere. Yeah I missed it big time. We knew something was funny going on with the sky, but thought it was gonna be a cheap storm like always. There was no warning. There was a tornado a mile from us...we had no power for the whole day, even thou it was beautiful and sunny, not a single cloud was in the sky...

Call me crazy, every summer during a really bad thunderstorm with lightning, I would sit out on the deck and watch...yeah barefeet. We had a pinici once, my neighbors rushed to get inside, but me. I didn't move at all, I just sat there and watch. they said I was crazy. *shrugs* Like I said I won't run and hide from Mother's Nature.

I will look in purple roofs everytime I travel and get hotels.
