Most affordable to unaffordable

258~
San Diego ranks among the top ten unaffordable areas to live.... (I think fourth-- after Los Angeles, Modesto, and Salinas in California)

I think the only reason it is SO expensive to live in San Diego-- the WEATHER and miles of beaches. (Imperial, Ocean, Pacific, Mission, PointLoma, Coronado, Torrey Pines, La Jolla Shores, Windesdia, and many more!)

Look at Salt Lake City-- 200$ for a house! SLC is a nice city, but the weather just sucks (nobody wants to drive in a blizzard...)
So it is the nature factors that affects the housing. :pissed: @ Mother Nature

I see Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA ranks 132nd place for affordability with a score of 32.6. Weather isn't always the factor that keeps people from moving here...even plenty of retirees move here to live in downtown centers and in villages in the communities. It's also the economy...good jobs.

Awesome ..... I live near Erie, PA and Rochester, NY. They are Regionally ranked 1 and 2 respectively then on a national level, the rank being the 15th and the 16th which is not too bad. It does not surprise me that Washington D.C. did not even make the list.

No... sorry. But I do know where Chula Vista is. About 20 minutes south from where I live. :)
