Milk to cost $8 per gallon?

I been hearing this on the news for awhile now, I hope the Hell it does not happen. People might start stealing milk if that happen .

Easy. Steal it from a back of a milk truck (if you can get by the security features, that is)

How the heck do you steal a gallon of milk without being noticed?

It would be easy when a grocery store is very busy , people steal huge bottles of 'Tide' all the time. There is a huge black for 'Tide'. People could steal a few quarts of milk . People might try to steal it from a person shopping cart when they're putting bags in their car. I just hope milk does not get this high. Then all product made from milk will go up too. I like plain yogurt and I know a lot of people love the yogurt with fruit .

There is that, but not where I live. It's way too hard to leave the stores with milk, because the stores I go to have cameras near the doors, and if you walk out the store without paying, you're good as caught red-handed.

Imagine, a Walmart employee earns $8/hr. To buy a gal of milk for $8, s/he has to work at least one hr (after fed/state taxes, etc). That's fu*ked up.

I guess if milk did get up to $8 .00 a gallon my store will watching people more closely too.

Geez...I finally get my tiny tiny raise in January after a 6 year salary freeze and of course, something like this becomes a possibility. I feel like I can never get ahead and I am sure many of you feel the same. The American dollar is not worth what it used to be.

No wonder the people who could not have enough money for grocery especially milk will become poor and homeless real quick. I hate that. I don't want to be poor. Alaska is worse with high price food in the grocery markets. Dang! That milk might be from Alaska.

Where are the cows? And FYI, most dairy products come from Wisconsin.

Guess it's a good thing for me that I'm lactose intolerant and steer clear of milk for the most part. Still.... Good lord, $8.00 per gallon... Milk prices are going to be beating our gas prices, how pathetic!

Agreed. If I saw milk prices spike like that, I'd have to swear off mashed potatoes :(
