I found this on another message board. It’s a story about a chicken that survived for two years after it’s head was cut off. This is one of the weirdest things I have ever read in my life, and the weirdest thing is that it appears to actually be true! :-o I’ll have to go over to Snopes.com later and see if they have any other info on this.

Oh wow! interesting! no big mystery really.....
The reason he lived is because the head was not cleanly chopped off therefore left one ear intact, the slicing missed the jugular vein so the clot prevented him from bleeding to death..his reflexes were mostly in the brain stem which was also untouched so that explains why he lived. I have heard a story about a human baby was born without a brain but it lived because of the brain stem that kept the baby alive! I dont remember how long the baby lived or even if the baby is still alive..i heard it like a few years ago so i forgot the most of the story.
 
Hmm...fascinating. Dunno if that can be true -- totally headless rooster survives for 2 years after being beheaded?!
