Richard Nixon, at that time said America's number one problem is drug, and he created zero tolerance law. Congratulation on him for making several drug cartel wealthy and evil thus create a evil empire. Now that spending is 31 times more than when Nixon signed into law. That law is COMPLETELY failure!

The only way to win war on drugs is to let it go. Uncle Sam needs to attend Nar-Anon meetings!

I do agree that it is problem, we can not just cover it up what we need is face it and deal with it. Legalize is one way to face it and deal with it with treatment. 1920's had prove enough. Booze was once illegal which welcomes bootlegging mafias that does killing sprees. It stopped right after booze become legalized.

These bloody wars WILL stop once drug is legalize. No drug Cartel wants this to happen, otherwise they will cry.

Let me see if I got this one right.

What we need to do to win the war on drugs is to wage war on "the war on drugs."

This is a serious subject and I'm having way too much fun today.

The problem I see what Uncle Sam and closed minded politican can't see is that whenever the drug market surf gets raided and clean up. This just simply open door for another cartel to take over and make money. This is just vicious cycle that has been going on for the last 40 years and it has not improved plus too many innocent people got killed or injured. Why this is so much value to blinded, closed minded politicans? I don't understand this.

I guess politicians will do anything for a vote. Drugs are a hot button topic in politics. I'm all for making pot legal cuz I want to see this cycle end.

Maybe the rude awakening should be reserved to those who do not realize that drugs are illegal, and will continue to be illegal, and those who deal drugs will be punished?

And as indicated in the OP, drug dealers houses will be burned to the ground.

Who, pray tell, does not realize drugs are illegal? Again, that is but a small underlying issue. Illegalization does not stop supply and demand. Please, Steinhauer, think before you post.
