Meet the Fockers

I saw that movie before and it was very funny movie.

Started to watch rented video today.......

I rented the photo because I had been told it was funny, and I had heard about the toddler that was signing in the movie (actually they used twins for the part). It was commical, but my son who was watching it with me (he's 18yrs) didn't like the movie and felt uncomfortable with it because of the...shall I say, morally inappropriate content. The parts you were thinking were gross I guess. He finally decided he couldn't watch it any longer about, what, 20 min. or so into the movie maybe. I agree with you about the comment of hearing audience learning that you don't have to be deaf to learn to sign.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Millions of Americans went shopping for comedy this weekend, giving the star-studded ``Meet the Fockers'' the record for the best Christmas weekend opening ever.

I was one of these millions who ran to the nearest cinema to see the movie yesterday. It was open captioned so I was lucky.

Being a huge Stiller fan, I was excited to see it. I found the movie really hilarious but somewhat gross at moments. I felt that some jokes were overdone but in the end, I ended up with tons of laughter. Stiller was brilliant as usual. But I was very impressed with Streisand. She did her role brilliantly and it was good seeing her back in action. Not to mention Hoffman.

What I thought you all would find interesting was that one of the characters, De Niro, was teaching his grandson sign language. Most of the cast used sign language throughout the movie. It was really FUNNY!!!!!!!!

I was happy to see that ASL was exposed in the film because it will help the hearing folks to see that you don't have to be deaf to use ASL and that it is a good idea to teach hearing babies/toddlers ASL before they speak because it will aid in communication.
