GOP Deal Makes $22 Billion Difference

Republican negotiators criticized for closed-door changes to
Medicare legislation that would save the
health-insurance industry billions

Savings Disappear
In November, as part of a broad budget-cutting bill, the Senate approved a measure to save billions of dollars by reducing Medicare reimbursements to private insurers. Most of those savings disappeared after the final bill emerged from House and Senate negotiations last month.

Good Question: I actually have NOT seen anything
about Plan C in writing

I have NOT sign up anything yet but I want to do
some research sharing with deafies who need
to make decisions on which three (3) options
do they choose:

1) Original Medicare Plan (pay-per-visit health plan
that let you go to any doctors who accept Medicare)
where you have to choose stand-alone drug plan and/or Medigap Policy
NOTE: I prefer to choose the drug plan called
"PacificCare Life and Health Insurance"
more likely the BEST one for me as my own personal opinion.

2) Medicare Advantage Plan (can include prescription drug coverage
AND You must get your care from doctors/hospitals on the plan's List)

3) Other Medicare Health Plans

While reading these materials, they claimed that
the new Medicare Advantage Plan is cheaper with
more "benefits" than the Original Medicare Plan.

However I still prefer to choose the
"Original Medicare Plan" along with my own drug plan with
the PacificCare Life anyway.

What about you and others ?

Wow, I'm so overwhelmed with their new drug plans...
There are tooooo many of them (Sigh)
u have to spend a lot of time
read and compare everything
before making choices/decisions...

I guess no one cares about this whole thing anyway...

I'm still looking I went to wallgreens and told them the perscriptions I use and with that info they printed a list to help me pick the right one still alot of choices.

Well I dont know how it works yet. I just got a card show in rx prescription plan thru blue cross which I paid 230 dollars monthly to medicare. I will find out next week when I go and get my supply for my diabetic. I don't know if I am able to get any of them cuz have heard alot bad things about plan D now. Alot people cant get all medicine they need with that plan D.

Yeah same here I saw CVS distributed
Medicare and their drug plans etc (we do
NOT have "Walgreens" around here, but
mostly either CVS or Rite Aids local drug stores

Hey, I noticed that there are few people
ever bothered to learn or discuss more about
Medicare here (Sigh)

Honestly many of us are confuse on this one now. I got this drug card, only go thru rx, not sure how it works. Must order them thru the mails? Dunno I am going there today to pick up supply and not sure how it works yet. I got those packages on my health benefits in mail yesterday and was shocked to read about rx plans. they push us to buy plan D, I paid 230 dollars per month thru medicare and now this not sure if i want to pay another for that part D. Have till May to decide if I want to buy that plan or stick to old way pay my medicines more costly? I don't know.

Right... IF People delay after May 15, 2006
then they can decide to enroll later for
this new Drug Plan "Medicare Part D"
BUT then they have to pay extra for the
"late penalty"
they even count how many months late
multiply 1% of the average premium...
"the more late, the more penalty charges"
I hate this system/concept Sigh.

yeah, this Humana seem to be one of these best reasonable
prices they seem cheaper than other ones depend
on where you live etc...
(to be more specific it can be found at)

Most average pay about $32 a month....
I will go to the workshop soon just to
learn something new

Medicare and Medicaid are controlled by the government. There are numerous numerous insurance companies with a long list of benefit plans. Notice the US Health Care System is still working on its way to prevail from circumstances because of frauds, lying, and manipulations. Like this for example, if you're a smoker and common reasoning to go to dr office for. Tell thge insurance company that. Just be blunt to the insurance company then they will KNOW which plan they can offer you and them doing the best they can do. US Health Care is never gonna be perfect. It takes patience. If you get calls from dr office to make payments. Know the benefit plans like deductibles and services not covered then ya gonna cough out money for another insurance or you pay. I assure that its gonna take some time then the monies will blend in a little faster within stricter policies. Pay in timely manner. If cant afford, that's fine there are ways to pay them off! Dr offices, hospitals, and insurance can write them off. Most important of all is accounting/auditing. Out with the old, in with the new! They will not have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
