Man shot dead near Omar's house was deaf and mute
The army on Tuesady shot dead a 45-year-old man who was moving in a high security locality area in Srinagar, barely 100 metres away from Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's house, official sources said.
According to initial reports, Abdul Reshi, a daily wage earner from Pehalgam was hearing and speech impaired.
He entered the army area in Ghupkar area by mistake while on his way to his sister's house. No arms have been recovered from the victim. Also the police have registered a case
The man tried to escape when the army officers opened fire killing him on the spot, the sources said quoting army officials.
