That is ok, you don't have to like pit bulls. No one needs to like pit bulls and they aren't suitable for everyone. Three breeds I will never own in my whole life are Golden, Labs, and Pitbulls. It is not because I don't like them. They aren't right for me. They need a different kind of family who doesn't like when a dog challenges them too much. I need a breed that is highly eager to please, dominant, challenage, intelligent, balance drives, no sharp nerves, and energic.

I really like standard poodle will not mind to own one someday later.

I know how defee feels because I hate when they put pets to sleep for such a small reason or even blame the pets for their behaviors which is really owner's fault. As i am saying is that Perhaps they should be able to screen the owners for better places for pitbulls because I know some owners even train them for dog fighting or security with less protection around the area (meaning lousy place where can get hurt easy without warning). That what license idea that I was try to say even I may havent not explain it clear enough. I know lion, tigers, and other animals that I say is not an pet but as I stated "wild animals".

Shiva,

I know you are trying to find a way to resolve the problem. You are right, breeders should screen their buyers. Also they need to have a strict contract after buying a pit bull or any kind of dog. Sometimes I wish pitbulls are an expensive dog to buy, this will have prevent many criminals from getting their hands on. Too expensive to buy it, but unfortunately many of them are selling for less. This does create another problem. Some criminals will steal pitbulls from some body's yard to use them for fighting. This is truly horrible.

One thing I have to say, my dogs do know when it is ok to bite and not to bite. My dogs have gone through a heavy training with the schutzund club in Az since they have been with me. If they have ignored my commands, this is it! They are going to be destory, there is no way I'm going to keep a dog who is not 100% under my control. This is part of my responisblity to ensure that my dogs are safe around people and strangers.

I will like to show you a video clip of Wraith doing the bite work. You will need to download it. You will see everything is in commands. It is part of the training to test the dog, to make sure he knows the difference when is ok to response the aggression and when not to... This is very important part of the training also the dog needs to know the rule too. Where to bite and what not to bite like legs, body, neck, or feet only on the arm.

click " wraith doing bite work video" Its interesting to watch really.....

All what I read is "blame owners" all the time ***shake the head***. I'm tiring of seeing some of pitbull's owners who are offended when some of members created their thread over pitbull who attack people. We are not talking about your dog but owner's dog where the newspapers are talking about.

It's something do with the breeders who breeding the kind of dogs into aggressive.

Yes, it's part of owner's fault, of course also breeder's fault, too for cross breed on dogs into aggressive.

I remembered happened to my co-worker's niece of last year. She was attacked by Clara, her 5 years old pet pitbull. It's so suddenly to the whole family because Clara is such good dog. Why suddenly? Would you still blame the owner for that? For me, nope because I know them. They are good people who love Clara as their own baby. They have to put Clara sleep and realized that pitbull is not suitable for the family so they bought a Golden Retrieve.

I know that Golden Retrieve is number one than all of the dogs who are very good and loving children dog.

it looks like same family as mastiffs....they are more of guard dogs/herding dogs,, mostly used in italy/greece for sheeps. am i right or did i miss anything in earlier posts...i admit i skip to the end to read the recent post... oops.
