'Made in the USA' May Be Coming Back

Do you think this trend is going to be sustained for a long time? Like for decades?

Outsourcing has been going on for a long, long time. The USA has been importing Japan-made vehicles for 40+ years at the very least.

And Foxnews reported that Wall Street is thrilled with job reports.

"The Labor Department reported Friday that private employers added 268,000 jobs, the most since February 2006. Taking into account job cuts of government workers, the economy added a total of 244,000 jobs overall last month, well above the 185,000 jobs that analysts had predicted.

It was the third straight month that featured an increase of more than 200,000 jobs.

First by "surprise" anybody that follows financial news knows it's because they expected even more dismal numbers.....not because the numbers were good.

I also find it funny that liberals are will to put the "real unemployment" numbers out there when it benefits them but scoff when they don't.

200,000 jobs is a net monthly gain of 50,000. WooHoo! if that's not worth 800 billion I don't know what is. :roll:

And as long as there are 3rd world countries with people that the manufacturers can exploit, they will continue to ship work out of the country and call it globalism.

And it will continue. Corporations are about the bottom line, and will do what it takes to make that bottom line attractive.

and if that, then they will become the next China, only more sporous bt then again resources arent going to let it again, the tension will however, come back, as always because thats' how the ruling class manipulate the masses with 'false hopes' via 'false consciousness'..my 2 cents

I asked a couple of old timers (Deaf) about the Great Depression versus now couple years ago. They said the Great Depression was much worse.

I wonder if the entire planet will become a third-world country several centuries in the future. The supply of non-renewable resources we consume will run out eventually.

The internal combustion engine was seen as a great thing at the beginning of the industrial age, and we went that direction for a long time. The infrastructure is in place for it continuing.

I think big changes will come one day and nothing will be anything we'd recognize. If those changes aren't made, we are done.
 
I would like to see more manufacturing jobs return to America. This will help the unemployed and those who had to put their education on hold to find work. If they could find work that paid decently, they might be able to continue and finish their education WHILE working. I have found this benefits the worker and the company both. The worker now has a degree that puts them in a position for a promotion within the company. The company knows they are getting a good candidate for a salaried position as they already have the person's work history on file. It's a win-win deal I think.

We need to bring jobs back to America where they belong!

Don't hold your breath, though. Cold fusion could be a reality, but that would require changing the whole infrastructure of our country, but because a few people are against the idea, it will never happen.
