Mac OS X Leopard Sneak Peek is HERE!

I saw the sneak preview, very impressive! I like Tiger, also!

i did watch that its quite long one. wow cool technolgy is about time machine. i think mac os x is leap ahead of vista. also they wont tell us more details. top secret until vista is released first.

i can't wait to get hold of that from my brother he is a apple employee

lala

And also new iChat version is so dropping jaw. I never see this before like sharing my buddy that allow me to observe each anothers. that is so shocking. This one is promise and future. For example if someone will help you where to fix or something like so that you don't need to bring your friend to come. cool!

I get this from Apple.com

Share and share alike

Remote control takes on a whole new meaning with iChat in Leopard. Thanks to iChat Screen Sharing, you and your buddy can observe and control a single desktop via iChat, making it a cinch to collaborate with colleagues, browse the Web with a friend, or pick the perfect plane seats with your spouse. Share your own desktop or share your buddy’s — you both have complete control at all times. And when you start a Screen Sharing session, iChat automatically initiates an audio chat so you can talk things through while you’re at it.

Show off (without showing up)

Why wait for a darkened room and a projector to present vacation photos or Keynote slides? With Leopard, you can do it all remotely, from the comfort of iChat. Use new iChat Theater to present photos from iPhoto, slides from Keynote, or content from any iChat-enabled application with any iChat or AOL AIM buddy. And do it in style — full-screen, accompanied by a video feed of you playing host. iChat’s virtual presentation room makes a big impact.

don't anyone notice that there is Closed Caption support on Quicktime? :)

Theory, it's possible to have iPod with CC in future that way you could download tv show and watch either quicktime under iTunes or iPod with CC.

Only if next iPod with video will enable CC mode.

Yes Quicktime has Closed Caption in the past. It also works with DVD player software in Apple computers. Only works with Panther or higher version.

I hope it will work in iTune iPod when we watch show tv download from its? Good question. I doubt iPod has closed caption. I wish that. I will write to Apple to add my idea feedback.

Also Leopard has great:

Accessibility improvements

Apple is working to dramatically improve how well Leopard will work for people with disabilities, and they certainly deserve some credit for this work. Leopard will new voice technologies, Braille support, positional audio cues, and extended keyboard capability, in addition to closed captioning. The voice feature seems like a decent improvement

Yes, QT have had cc support but in form of text in track. but in Leopard, they are adding more cc support so it would be like viewing cc as if it was a analog broadcast that is cc'ed.

Closed captioning
QuickTime currently supports closed captioning by including a text track alongside audio and video content. But improved QuickTime support will automatically display the CEA-608 closed captioning text standard in analog broadcasts in the U.S.

That could means we could be seeing cc in any QT video when that comes out like music video or tv shows from iTunes Music Store or on AOL's video page who knows...

I already did that long time ago when Apple announcement on TV download to iTunes as there is no CC or subtitle. Which why I send the feedback to them.

I know few of friends of mine, plus blogs who claim of their relation who are hearing impaired have complain.

The speech synthesizer for Mac Leopard sounded good!

It's true that you really don't need to purchase an external screen reader to have everything speaking to me via text, right?

There is Norrator in Windows, but it doesn't speak that much... And I've never used Norrator that much.

I would like to get Leopard if Apple builds a case that would look like this:

Or maybe even this:

I like black to match with other AV components. :)

I have been always use text-to-voice since Mac OS 9. :)

It make great for laptop and I could "talk" to my sister while she drive. She don't have to look at me when I use sign language.

Macintosh OSX is the most advanced operating system - Vista simply cannot compete against OSX. OSX is a clean operating system with SUPERIOR USER INTERFACE. Its consistency and excellient visual aids make computing easy.

You cannot say the same with Windows.
