Sounds like a plan..... I think if obama would give a speech solely on gas prices just hinting that it was time to start drilling the price of oil would plummet

He is waiting until the debates begin. I can see it now:

"My FELLOW Americans ... (laughter), I know I have not been able to make progress in the economy as I had anticipated ... but, I can do something about the rising fuel prices ...."

Everyone will love him for it too.

Anyways ... I just got my crystal ball back from the shop and that was the first prediction ;)
 
I live in ND and near Bakken formation. That 2008 estimate is actually out of date. Technology has changed 'recoverable' oil estimates since then. Problem at the moment is that those government estimates are done once a decade and ND doesn't want to pay the money for a new up to date reformulated estimate. Estimates are much much higher since this 2008 report.

The top five oil companies are making over $380 million profits a day. That's obscene!
