How about a thread about low fat recipes to share? I'll start.
Got this from Weight Watcher's, but I change it up a little.
Sweet & Spicy Crisps
12 servings
These sweet & spicy crisps are virtually fat=free, lots of fun to eat and terrifically crunchy. Best of all, they're a complete snap to make.
Ingredients:
24 pieces wonton wrappers
Cooking spray (Pam or something)
1 Tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Arrange wonton wrappers on nonstick baking sheets in a single layer and coat with cooking spray.
Stir together rest of ingredients and sprinkle mixture over wonton wrappers.
Bake until crisp, 8 or 9 minutes. Set on wire rack to cool completely.
Yields 2 crisps per serving.
What I do, is cut the wontons into quarters (pizza cutter is handy), omit the salt and use the sugar with 1 teaspoon of any Mrs. Dash flavoring we feel like. With the smaller size, they only cook for 5-6 minutes. We found the salt to be too much and like to change things up. Also, the smaller size, makes them the size of a cracker like the wheat thins.
Hope you enjoy this. Today, I made them with Chili/Lime seasoning. Tomorrow, or Wednesday it will be Southwest Chipolte.
