I live in an apartment, new people move in above me is worst than the others who had moved out 4 month ago...This lady played her music over and over (same music) playing too loud that I hears the vibrating (booms booms) through the wall and it drives me up to a wall, even a lady next door to me can hears it too, she didn't like it either she has complaint to landlord too and she complained that people that move above me key scratched her driver side door, she got pissed and I even noticed my car got key scratched too, our landlord did took picture of it to show the owner what's going on...People above me didn't needs to turns it soo loud if they hears, they knows better how to adjusted their volume.

We're not allowed to make noises after 10pm and guess what these people were makin' noises after 10pm and I reported it.

Landlord said she is kicking them out, great, does any of you who hears or are hard of hearing can hears loud music or feet stomping above you ?

How do you feels about the loud noises above you ?

Really, that sucks. I guess it does not count me cuz I do not hear any noise at all. But my husband with neighbors especially Mexican musics play all night to wee hours in the morning every weekend drive him to nut. Many time he called cops to go over there cuz of curfew but never happen. He did not go to sleep till alike 3 or 4 am in the morning. sooo fed up with them.

jazzy

Yes I know these people have no respect for others neighbors who do not want to hears the loud beating from their stereo...Sorry your husband had a such a hard time sleeping due this loud music. I was very carefully not to make loud noises, when that lady playing her music I took my broom and banging under her floor to let her know her music isss to damnit loud, I don't like the sounds of it, same music over and over...weird! I thinks your husband needs to files a complaints to the city whereever you lives about the noises, see if any neighbor are willing to help you both out, that should help too.

We live in rural so we can not go to city but we can go to town coucil meetings and complain to them then they will do something about it. We are not only one in our neighborhood to deal with it. Lately, my husbnd said nothing I guess it is quiet but I will ask him about last night cuz he did not come to bed till late last night. thanks and hope ur neighbor will respect u and others. It sucks, it is okay to play music if party going on alike one time a year but not same people play over again every weekend.

buy ear plugs and plug in your ears.. u wont be able to hear anything at night time when you are tryin to sleep. :)

For me, it's one positive side of being deaf . . . I'm a "good" neighbor. I don't notice noises, and a few bumps are expected in a bird-cage (my sister's sign idiom for an apartment building).

Also, everyone around me doesn't hear my TV always on mute. My computers don't have speakers, either. My cat knows I'm deaf, so he doesn't meow.

The only noise incident I had was accidently pressing the horn alarm on my car, and a neighbor had to flash my strobe to let me know. I was embarrassed, but no one wanted to lynch the deafie, so all was good.

How do you know about the cat, Chase? Siamese talk up a storm. Maybe he does it when you turn your back.

Unfortunely I can hear some as I am not stoned deaf.. I never liked loud noises so when kids were yelling and all that.. only in my right ear I could hear even without hearing aid.. i would turn to my right side and lay down to sleep so i wouldnt hear any noises at all. it worked.

yeah bottesini is right.. cats do talk up storms.. always meow.. but my cat oreo know im deaf.. he would come to me and pawing me on my face and show his face expression.. Meow... lol.. then i know he want something from me.. for it to be foods usually.. or just attention and being cuddled in my arms.. heh..

That is exactly what happen when I have my cat who knows that I am deaf. I have two cats but one of the two knows that I am deaf. My husband and I brought him home when he was a kitten. He was always quiet, never meow to me and like to paw and like to cuddle up to me for my attention to him. I did not brought my other cat and she was not a kitten at the time. The cat was given to me by my niece. She was almost one year old when we had her. She did not know that I am deaf and I noticed that she meowed all the time. She just looked at me and meowed at me but my cat who is a male never meow, well sometimes when he feels like meowing along with her. Mind you, they were spay and neuter.

As for the noise, I don't know if a hearing family member like my son or my husband heard any kind of loud noises. They never tell me as I don't hear anything with a loud noise. Ah,I just remembered once that my husband heard loud noise across the field from our rural home. Either they were playing drums or playing music from the radio or box, whatever. That was the one time that bothered my husband when he was trying to sleep at night time, really late at night. I did not hear the loud noises that they made. :dunno2:

Yeah, Hoang Tu (Vietnamese for "son of the king") might be saying things about me behind my back . . . but he must whisper, 'cause neighbors say he doesn't make any noise.

I'd probably go there and ask if I can join the party! Dance time! Ok, I'm kidding. Kinda kidding. Anyways, lucky for me I live in a nice apartment complex where the management team is very strict about codes (including curtains, trash, music, parking, etc.). It is the management's (landlord, etc.) responsibility to make sure the neighbors are following the rules. If the landlord doesn't to his/her job, then you need to type up an official letter to the owner/top management person. You might want to consider a petition from the neighbors to go with that letter. Sorry this happened to you.
