Dear all,

My name is Yvonne, an industrial design student from Academy of Art University. Right now I’m working on my graduate thesis project about enhancing the learning experience for Deaf students. For my project, I want to design an electronic product that can help Deaf students during lectures in the classroom and enable them to participate during class more easily in mainstream schools.

I have some initial ideas and sketches I would like to share. I have already been to one Deaf school and some mainstream schools/facilities to express my intentions, I took an ASL class and participated in Deaf events hoping to increase my chances of meeting some Deaf students who could help me and give some feedback to further my concept development.

However, over the past 4 months, I did not receive any responses from Deaf students. I feel a bit sad and depressed. I really hope I can get some input from Deaf students on my design concept based on their experience instead of relying on my imagination.

What is your idea? Probably some people here would be willing to give input, but may be unlikely to email a stranger.
 
I know several deaf buddies are currently studying in AAU.
