hey, you must call CableTV Company first! becuase any cable-modem's MAC ID# and Serial # give to them, they will setup account becuase it is protect/security

if quit rent, and new box (don't open) bring to CableTV Company. say I don't want rent and my own, Custmer say okay, and setup account ISP then back home, open box, will work it

I have WRT54G v.2 configured as a switch (not as a router) connected to a BEFSR41 version ? (need to check which version). The VP is connected to the switch and it's IP is in the DMZ on the BEFSR41. Works great.

Xentra, I recommend you use ROGERS cablemodem is excellent working perfectally as well.. I user dlink router and dlink vp connection w/Cablemodem "Rogers.ca" Why don't you try contact w/your internet providers in area.. Hopefully if you have Rogers.ca in your area.

the city reserve by cogeco cable!!! if want get connect rogers must move house in other city who reserve cable! cannot recommend!!!

I have nothing setup CFG when i m using linksys befsr11/41 with switch! only open dmz for receive call only one end with vp upstair end with 125 and basement end with 133 when i change dmz 125 it s primary receive call...
do nothing setup with port from 1720 or 1528to15330 work fine with me

one ip work with 2 vp both same running chat work fine with me there only one way receive call with one DMZ primary!!!

Oh about nothing! Sorry i am little english :P ... I have nothing setup in router CFG both are working great!!! Just only setup DMZ switch end with 125 or 133 that vpwith 125 from living room and my computer desk basement with 133 Yes both same befsr41/81 just extra port from 81.

Yes. It won't work with VP so I had to figure a way to use VP and still keep wireless access to network. The router is also a 4 port switch. I turned the router function off, the firewall off (other router has firewall), and turned off DHCP. The router works as a switch and also gives me wireles access to the network. It is not the most secure way to do it, it's just a temporary solution.

Yep, I already try and it have VP have problem sometime so I gave up and switch to d-link DI-604 and no problem at all.
