To the women who have touched my life - thank you!

There was a blind girl who hated herself because of
her blindness. Not only did she hate herself but she
hated everyone else, except her loving
boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said
that if she could only see the world, she would
marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and
then she was able to see
everything, including her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can see the
world, will you marry
me?" The girl was shocked when she saw that her
boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him.

Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote
a letter to her that simply said. "Just take care of my eyes dear."

Very beautiful and eloquently written...it's almost as if some can be so preoccupied and caught up in this hectic and fast-paced world, that when taking those few silent moments to reflect upon the good qualities, good things, good ways, etc., to the point of being mesmerized by the values and whatnots in the gift of Life itself...is truly cherished and fully appreciated. ;)

Thanks for sharing this with AD'ers. :)

Fighting some kind of battle.

Very true, on a side note. I like it =)

That was a very touching & beautiful poem.

But the sad thing is before that, the girl wouldn't marry him because he was blind from giving her his eyes? Wow I bet that was heart breaking for him though. But like he said "Just take care of my eyes dear." She should be so greatful for that.

This was a lovely poem..
